The 4th Eastern and Southern Africa Regional Learning Sessions is a combination of training and plenary sessions aimed at sharing insights on inclusive insurance business models for low-income market segments in Africa. The event is organised and hosted by Access to Finance Rwanda (AFR), the Munich Re Foundation and the Rwanda Insurers Association (ASSAR), with support from the ILO's Impact Insurance Facility, Cenfri, Financial Sector Deepening Africa (FSDA), the Access to Insurance Initiative (A2ii) and the Microinsurance Network.
Around 100 international and regional participants and experts will exchange experiences and discuss a number of key themes and topics on inclusive insurance business. The conference will cover the following themes:
- Mobile microinsurance and technology applications
- Consumer education and marketing microinsurance
- Health microinsurance
- Agricultural microinsurance
- Data: From consumer insights to products, client value and business viability
- Regulation and inclusive insurance market development
