The Microinsurance Network’s vision is for a world where people of all income levels are more resilient and less vulnerable to daily and catastrophic risks.
The Microinsurance Network promotes the development and delivery of effective insurance services for low-income people by encouraging shared learning, facilitating knowledge generation and dissemination, and providing a global multi-stakeholder platform.
What we do
The Microinsurance Network provides and facilitates a global multi-stakeholder platform through which members generate and share knowledge and information; Thematic working groups carry out in-depth research on specific topics, leveraging the expertise of members across the Network, distilling key lessons learned and best practices for adoption by the microinsurance sector.
Who we are
The Microinsurance Network is the only global multi-stakeholder platform focusing on insurance services for low-income populations in emerging markets. The Network is a non-profit organisation and has its legal base in Luxembourg. Our members are experts from a wide range of backgrounds and sectors.
The Microinsurance Network was originally established in 2002 as the CGAP Working Group on Microinsurance by donor organisations, multilateral agencies, insurance professionals and other interested parties involved in the promotion and support of microinsurance in developing countries.
There are many ways to get involved with the Network: By becoming a member of the Network, you have the opportunity to gain access to peers, highlight your work in microinsurance, access actionable industry information and shape the agenda of the microinsurance sector. By signing up to this website, you can create your own profile, comment on news and blogs, search for and post job opportunities in microinsurance, and post your own blogs on emerging microinsurance topics.
