John Wipf, Denis Garand Associates

John J. Wipf, Microinsurance Development Consultant, has been working part time in microinsurance since 1992 and full time since 1998. He joined Denis Garand and Associates (DGA) in 2005. His extensive experience includes product development, project development and evaluation, business planning, pricing, experience analysis, training, administration systems and actuarial software development, and many other types of microinsurance projects.

Currently, John is a member of the Performance Indicators subgroup and co-authored the Performance Indicators for Microinsurance- A Handbook for Microinsurance Practitioners, four chapters in Protecting the Poor- A Microinsurance Compendium, and numerous other articles on microinsurance in several publications. Before moving to Philippines in 1997, John worked for 12 years in Group Actuarial and Corporate Actuarial Departments in Co-operators Life Insurance Company, Ltd. in Canada.
