Lisa-Marie Ouedraogo, Micro Insurance Academy (MIA)

Lisa-Marie Ouedraogo graduated in African Studies and Public Law atUniversity ofCologne. Furthermore, she studied Philosophy and is currently working on her PhD in international social and health sciences.

Lisa-Marie has been working as research assistant and project coordinator at Department for Cooperative Studies at University of Cologne within the project “Pro MHI Africa – EU-African University Network to strengthen community-based micro health insurance”. Besides, she worked as a consultant for the social security department of German Technical Cooperation (GTZ) and was hence involved in the network of promoters of the westafrican network of mutual health organisations "La Concertation".

Lisa-Marie is currently working for the MicroInsurance Academy in Bonn, together with Ralf Radermacher. From 2012 on she will work for the local NGO “STIPA” (Support for Tropical Initiatives in Poverty Alleviation) in Kenya who is supporting community-based mutual health insurance schemes.
