Emily Coleman, International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD)

Emily Coleman holds a Post-Graduate Certificate in Business Administration and has over five-years of professional experience in international development organizations. For the last three-years, she has been working in rural finance in the Policy and Technical Advisory Division at the IFAD’s headquarters in Rome, where she is involved in the Fund’s microinsurance activities.  She has been an active team member of the joint IFAD-WFP Weather Risk Management Facility since its inception in 2008.  In this time, Ms Coleman has built up a range of experience in weather index-based insurance, collaborating on pilot projects; monitoring and evaluation; research and publication of case studies and technical guidance notes; as well as project design and resource mobilization.
