CALL FOR PAPERS for the official PRO MHI AFRICA Handbook of Micro Health Insurance in Africa
The international Pro MHI Africa Network will publish a common Handbook of Micro Health Insurance in Africa by the end of 2009 that will contain the results of the two year research as well as numerous external contributions within the field of Micro Health Insurance in Africa to guarantee a multifaceted scientific and practitioners' perspective.

Microinsurance Innovation Facility: 2nd round of GRANTS for RESEARCH on MICROINSURANCE
The Microinsurance Innovation Facility and the European Development Research Network (EUDN) invite academic researchers to submit proposals for research that will contribute new knowledge to support microinsurance development in developing countries.
To apply, first fill in the cover sheet then make sure your research proposal strictly follows the guidelines. Applications should be sent to microinsurance@fundp.ac.be by 30th October 2009 at 12pm (noon) Central European Time.
Microinsurance Innovation Facility and the MicroInsurance Centre - African Landscape Study
The Microinsurance Innovation Facility and the MicroInsurance Centre are conducting a Microinsurance in Africa Landscape Study in close collaboration with the African Insurance Organization (AIO), the Fédération des Sociétés d’Assurances de Droit National Africaines (FANAF), la Concertation, and the ILO's Social Security Department.
If you have microinsurance operations in Africa, you are invited you to take part in this study. The study is interested in all insurance products that you provide to low-income people. Please be aware that the information you provide will be treated confidentially.
If you respond to our short questionnaire your organization will not only be featured in the report, but you will also have access to aggregate data on other microinsurance activities in your country.
Key findings will be disseminated globally and presented at the 5th Annual Microinsurance Conference sponsored by the Munich Re Foundation and the Microinsurance Network, to be held in Dakar in November this year.
