Workshop on Key Performance Indicators for Microinsurance in Manila
ADA, BRS and GTZ – as part of their involvement in the Performance Indicators Working Group of the Microinsurance Network - is organising a half day workshop on Performance Indicators for Microinsurance.
This workshop is designed for microinsurance providers and support organisations, who would like to know what performance indicators are and how they can be used to interpret the performance of any microinsurance programme. Over the last 5 years, more than 100 microinsurers from all over the world were trained in the importance, usage and insight of these key performance indicators. Experiences from different microinsurance programmes as well as tools to monitor and analyse the key performance indicators will be explained and shared.
The workshop will be take place on 9 November 2010 from 8.30 a.m. until 11.30 a.m. at the Hotel Intercontinental, in Manila (Philippines). Travel to the venue and accommodation is at the participant’s own expense.

New edition of 'The Microinsurance Trilogy' available
The latest edition of the Microinsurance Network's newsletter is available in English, French and Spanish.
This edition focuses on the work carried out by the Microinsurance Network’s Insurance Education Working Group by presenting the main findings of two recently released publications: A landscape study of microinsurance education material and a case study on CARE-India’s consumer education programme.
Also included is information from the Network's 2009 Snapshot and the upcoming 6th International Microinsurance Conference, which is taking place in Manila, the Philippines, between 9 to 11 November 2010.

Seeking rapporteurs for the 6th International Microinsurance Conference
Munich Re Foundation and the Microinsurance Network are seeking rapporteurs for the 6th International Microinsurance Conference, which will take place in Manila, the Philippines between 9-11 November 2010.
Candidates should be PhD students, preferably with a focus in microinsurance, and have excellent knowledge of the English language and good writing skills. As part of the rapporteur team, your responsibilities will include:
- Assist the editor of the conference report;
- Write summaries for selected conference sessions;
- Assist the facilitator during the session in case of any problems to ensure a smooth flow of the session.
Selected candidates will have their participation fees and accommodation costs covered by the conference organisers.
If you would like to work as a rapporteur at the conference, please submit your CV (in English) and at least one autographic work as a reference (ideally on microinsurance) to info@munichre-foundation.org
