Many inclusive insurance products are gender-neutral, often overlooking women's specific needs. A key challenge in developing tailored products for women is the lack of data. Gender-disaggregated data helps insurers and policymakers understand market differences, leading to targeted policies, more accurate risk assessments, and better-suited products. Technology has played a crucial role in bridging data gaps, alongside other initiatives to enhance data collection. To support this, A2ii has developed tools like the FeMa-Meter – an Excel-based tool that collects sex-disaggregated data on 13 key indicators across market access, usage, and governance. It provides immediate insights into gender differences, helping drive informed decision-making.
